Itineraries

Day 1

Sofia (Bulgaria)

Welcome to Bulgaria, the country where people shake their heads to mean yes and nod for no. You will be collected from Sofia Airport and transferred to your hotel in the capital city. Accommodation and briefing.

Day 2

Sofia (BG) – Sipoceane – Pazardjik – Edirne (TR), 413 km – 5.h50min

Start your motorbike adventure by riding to Edirne. Founded by the roman Emperor Hadrian, the place used to be called Adrianople back in the days. Spend the night in Edirne and enjoy strolling the streets of this beautiful city.

Day 3

Edirne (TR) – Gallipoli – Anzac Cove – Kilitbahir – Canakkale, 211 km – 3h40min

Ride along Dardanele Strait, separating Asian Turkey from European Turkey. Your next destination is Anzac Cove - a small cove on the Gallipoli peninsula, the site of World War I landing of the ANZACs (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps). The beach became the main base for the Australian and NZ troops during the Gallipoli campaign. Cross Dardanele by ferry and spend the night in Canakkale.

Day 4

Chanakale – Troy – Foca – Izmir, 310 km – 5 h

The wooden horse used in the movie Troy is on display in Canakkale, but we are off to visit the real archaeological site of Troy – UNESCO World Heritage. Troy, with its 4,000 years of history, is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. Continue your journey to western Anatolia. Spend the night close to Aegean Sea in the city of Izmir.

Day 5

Izmir – Selcuk (Ephesus) -  Pamukkale, 351 km – 6h15min

Morning ride to the Ancient City of Ephesus. Great monuments of the Roman Imperial period including the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre can be found here. Remains of the famous Temple of Artemis, one of the “Seven Wonders of the World” attracts visitors all over the World. Evening in Pamukkale.

Day 6

Pamukkale

Rest day in beautiful Pamukkale. Enjoy spending time in the thermal water, natural swimming pools or visit the Archaeological site of Hierapolis, either way relaxation is guaranteed. Accommodation in Pamukkale.

Day 7

Pamukale – Burdur – Isparta – Egirdir – Kale – Konya, 417 km – 5h44min

The ride to Konya will reveal the beautiful vistas of Burdur and Egirdir Lakes. The city of Konya is the city of the famous Whirling Dervishes, love and tolerance. Accommodation in Konya.

Day 8

Konya – Goreme, Cappadocia, 236 km – 3h

Continue your journey to central Anatolia to reach Cappadocia - a region with exceptional natural wonders, characterized by fairy chimneys and a unique historical and cultural heritage. Accommodation in Goreme.

Day 9

Goreme, Cappadocia

Enjoy a rest day in Cappadocia. Seeing the region from above during a hot Air Baloon Ride will surely impress you. If you fear the heights, you can go underground - visit the troglodyte cave-cities. There are 36 underground cities in Cappadocia and the widest one is Kaymakli underground city. Spend the night in Goreme.

Day 10

Goreme - Ankara, 291 km – 3h34min

Ride to Ankara, Turkey's second largest city after Istanbul. Ankara became the new Turkish capital upon the establishment of the Republic on 1923. Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in Ankara, is visited by large crowds every year during national holidays. Accommodation in Ankara.

Day 11

Ankara – Zonguldak, 270 km – 3h35min

From the Central Anatolia to the Black Sea. Today we ride to Zonguldak, a city famous for mines and mysterious caves. Gökgöl Cave is fifth biggest cave in the country. The fossils found in this cave prove a history of 300 million years. Accommodation in Zonguldak.

Day 12

Zonguldah – Istanbul, 346 km – 6h33min

Ride your motorbike on the Black Sea Coast. Leave You will leave Asia behind as you cross Bosphorus Strait and reach the imperial city of Istanbul.  You are on Europe Land again. Accommodation in Istanbul.

Day 13

Istanbul - Rest Day

Enjoy a rest day in one of the greatest cities in the World - Istanbul. Istanbul is a fascinating city built on two continents and divided by Bosphrus Strait. You can visit Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia Mosque or enjoy a boat ride. Accommodation in Istanbul.

Day 14

Istanbul - Sofia

Continue your journey back to Bulgaria and its capital city – Sofia. Situated at the center of the Balkan Peninsula, the city lies at the foot of Vitosha Mountain. Accommodation in Sofia.

Day 15

Sofia

Transfer to the Airport for your flight back home.

Reservations are required. We recommend booking early as tours are often sold out well in advance. You can make a reservations on-line. In case of making reservations by phone please call toll-free: 808 101 6781 (UK); 866 376 6183 (US).
You can also make reservations by fax - download and complete the booking form and send it by fax to: 0040-364-405641 or by e-mail!

We require an advance deposit in the amount of Euro 145/person. When you make the reservation online you will be required to pay the deposit. You will receive an automatic response with your Holiday Booking Reference. Once the advance deposit is registered with our accounts we proceed with the reservation for the requested services and issue the Confirmation Letter + Paid Invoice (once the amount is registered with our accounts).

The final payment is due 60 days prior departure. ( After the final payment is made we will issue Travel Voucher). Should the booking be made within 60 days prior to tour departure, entire tour cost is requested at the time of booking. The client is at all time entitled to cancel the Travel Contract, but must pay Transylvania Live - Expert in Transylvania a cancellation charge as stipulated below:
89 days or more prior to departure 90 EURO per person / per tour cancellation fee;
88–61 days, loss of deposit.
60–31 days will be subject to 50% of tour price;
30 days or less will be subject to 100% of tour price.

Yes, most of our tours operate even if there’s only one person. However, price for Turkey Motorcycle Tour is based on a minimum number of 6 riders.

The tour has audience targets motorcycle riders interested in riding the best motorcycle roads in the area visited. Group size can be between 4-14 people. Adventure Motorcycle Tours - Transylvania Live is member of the responsible travel network and we are committed to operating a travel policy that is supportive of local economies, cultures and the environment. We operate our tours with small groups in order to minimize the negative impact on the environment and allow our guests to interact more easily with the locals, facilitate the communication with the guide. The average age of group is, most of the time, between 35-60.

We do not provide individual tickets for rail, air, boat or ferry, unless these are included in the tour.

We only accept VISA and MASTERCARD. Please select only these two types of credit cards for the online payment.

If you pay on-line using our secure internet booking form your credit card can hold any type of currency, the amount of money to be taken will be exchanged in EURO by your bank at their rates.

As a tour operator we are governed by the consumer and financial regulations of Romania and of the European Union. Romania’s legislation compels tour operators to protect tourists in case of insolvency.

Our prices include the online secure payment commissions. However depending on your bank some commissions may occur for international money transfer. Please check with your bank!

In case we’ll have a full house situation at one of the hotels, an accommodation of an equal classification or better will be booked for you. In case of closed roads due to bad weather, working situations or dangerous weather conditions the itinerary could suffer changes.

Our guide will expect you with a Transylvania Live sign. Our tour fares are based on two in one hotel room. For occupancy by one person, the "single supplement" cost specified in each itinerary will be required.

If you travel alone you have to book the tour with a single supplement; if you wish to book a double room which you want to share with another traveller, we’ll do our best to make all arrangements, but in case this is not possible, you’ll have to pay the single supplement; however it is our strongest recommendation to book the tour with a single supplement when travelling alone.

In Bulgaria and Turkey, the power sockets are of type C and E. The standard voltage is 220 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz, AC, usually 2 pronged.

Yes, every motorcycle has a safety and mechanical inspection prior to every rental. We have trained technicians on premises. All motorcycles are maintained to manufacturers' specifications and our technicians are very well acquainted with all rented bikes. Your safety is our #1 priority.

You must have a valid motorcycle license to rent a motorcycle from Adventure Motorcycle Tours - Transylvania Live. The license from your country is sufficient - you don't have to get an international drivers license.

All models have power outlets built into the fairing that allow you to plug in your Global Positioning Unit.

Certain vehicles provide for lockable storage.

Yes, for your own safety, and per Bulgaria & Turkey law, both you and your passenger are required to wear a certified helmet at all times when you ride our motorcycle.
