Description:
Because its high altitude the road is open only 3 - 4 months per year. You can find walls of snow on the side of the road even in July. Therefore this ride takes you above the three line, making the road unfolding right in front of your eyes. It is a road of many bends and hairpin curves offering the rider great visibility and enormous satisfaction. In conclusion, the road was perfectly built, a ribbon of bends, thrill and excitement. Romania enjoys warm summers and cold winters. In summer, cool cottons are best and in the winter a warm jacket or alike is recommended. Autumn is dry and cool, with fields and trees producing beautifully colored foliage. The weather in October-November is very unpredictable, with daytime temperatures between 6°-17° Celsius (42.80 - 62.60 Fahrenheit), and night time temperatures between 3° - 10°Celsius (37.40 - 50 Fahrenheit); but it is very much possible that you will see some snowfall especially in the mountain areas.

Day tour of Transfagarasan
Claudia and Alex were my guides for one of the most memorable vacations I’ve ever had. Not only were they extremely welcoming and kind people, they are very knowledgeable about the history of the area but they love to ride! They will allow you to ride at your pace, if that be fast and exciting or slow and leisurely. I will hopefully return to do one of the extended tours they offer.
